We invite you to the "warmly welcoming", "aesthetically pleasing" and "fabulously comfortable" guest rooms at the Main Street Inn, as our past guests so eloquently described them.
We have a total of eights rooms, each with a uniquely decorated Victorian theme. All of our rooms have either one Queen or a King bed and we have three floors at the Inn, but no elevator, so please be mindful of which floor your room is on when making your reservation. Our Inn also has a front and a back section, separated by the staff kitchen, which gets locked at 6pm when we leave for the night. This means that although two rooms are on the same floor, they may not be that close to each other. Each room description will tell you if it is in the front of the back of the Inn to give you a better understanding of how close each room is to another room if you are booking in groups.
Your stay also includes breakfast in the morning. We serve a continental breakfast plus eggs and bacon or sausage on Monday through Friday from 7am to 10am. On the weekends, we serve our continental plus a full served breakfast from 8:30am to 10am. In additional to breakfast, please enjoy our homemade baked goods in our guest kitchen as well as a complimentary glass of local wine, free parking, and wi-fi throughout the Inn. We tried to think of it all so you feel as if you've never left home.
Whatever the season, there is always a reason to visit the Main Street Inn, Bed & Breakfast. Please browse through the rooms below to find your reason and become one of the many who "enter as strangers and leave as friends."
All rooms are non-smoking. | We are unable to accommodate children under 12. | Pets are prohibited. If you will be checking in after 6PM, please notify the innkeeper prior to arrival so necessary arrangements can be made.
The Corrado Suite is named after the present day owners of the house, Angelo and Pam Corrado. They purchased the house from Anna Deisher in 2007 with plans of turning it into an eight room Bed & Breakfast. After a couple of renovations and a four bedroom addition, the Bed & Breakfast was completed and opened for business in May of 2008.
This Suite is located in the back of the property on the 1st floor making it one of our more quiet rooms throughout the Inn. The room contains a small desk perfect for a laptop and working materials, but still maintains the Victorian elegance evident in each of the rooms. We recommend this room for working professionals traveling through the area. This Suite also accommodates a third guest for an additional charge per night.
The Deisher Suite is named after previous owner, Anna Deisher. As a small girl, Anna lived across the street from the Victorian house and dreamed of one day living here. She finally made her dream come true in 1977 and remained here until 2007 when selling it to Angelo and Pam Corrado.
This Suite is the only room located on the third floor in the front of the Inn and has a separate bedroom, bathroom and sitting area. This is one of our more popular rooms for guests celebrating anniversaries, taking a relaxing get-a-way, or for any guests looking for a little more privacy. Both the bathroom and the bedroom contain a fireplace and there are few things more relaxing than soaking in our tub with the fireplace glowing as you close your eyes and feel your body start to unwind. A third guest can also be accommodated in our Deisher Suite for an additional charge per night.
The Frey Suite takes the name of the owner, Phaon Frey, who purchased the house in 1919. One of the many surprises that came with the purchase of this house was Phaon Frey's old safe from York Safe and Lock Co. that can still be viewed in the Parlor of the Inn.
This Suite is located on the second floor in the front of the house and is one of our most naturally lit rooms. The room contains a bay window sitting nook which overlooks Main Street and is perfect for enjoying a good book or having a glass of wine on a cold day. This room is one of our more popular rooms, but can be somewhat louder on weekends due to the location and large window. This Suite can also accommodate a third guest at an additional charge per night.
The Gidcomb Suite is named after Rockwell R. and Tolna Gidcomb who purchased the house in 1971. This Suite is located on the 2nd floor in the back of the Inn and shares a balcony with the Melot Suite. This room is also accessible from an outside stair case making it perfect for guests who will be coming in late. This is also one of our more popular rooms when booking with another party because of the adjoining balcony and the Melot Suite is located directly across the hall. The Gidcomb Suite is one of our larger rooms making it easy to fit a third guest for an additional charge per night.
The Hill Suite is named after Anthony J. Hill who purchased the house in 1917 at a Sheriff Sale and offers an exciting view of Kutztown's Main Street. The room is located in the front of the Inn on the second floor, but it is not possible to accommodate a third person because of the size of the room.
The Kutz Suite is named after Charles Kutz, the original owner of the land where Main Street Inn is located. The Kutz Suite is an ADA compliant room with beautiful views of the courtyard and adjacent church. The room comes with a queen bed and roll-in shower and is located directly off of the buffet area as this is closest to our ADA entry. Because of the location, we suggest all light sleepers book one of the other rooms, if available. This room also does not accommodate a third guest because of the size, but it is perfect for any guest who may have trouble with stairs. The bed is lower than the other rooms and no stairs are necessary to reach the location.
The Melot Suite is named after John and Marguerite Melot who bought the house in 1950. This Suite is the only room with a King bed and shares a balcony with the Gidcomb Suite. This room is one of our more popular rooms because of the balcony and when booking with a group because the Gidcomb and Melot are directly across the hall from each other. This Suite also has an exterior stair case leading to the balcony allowing for an additional entry for guests coming and leaving at odd hours and do not want to disturb other guests. This is one of our larger rooms and can therefore accommodate a third guest for an additional charge per night.
This cozy, sunflower decor suite is named after J. Daniel Wanner who built the Victorian style house in the late 1870's and offers a balcony with views of the town, beautiful courtyard and adjacent church. This Suite is located at the top of the stairs on the second floor in the front of the Inn. This is our most popular room because of the fireplace located in both the room and the bathroom and the large bathroom and peaceful decor. Many guests book this room for anniversary stays, wedding nights, Valentine's Day, relaxing get-a-ways or parents visiting their children at the University and want to make a night of it. This room also has a balcony adjacent to the Gidcomb Suite and because of the size of the room, can accommodate a third guest for an additional charge per night
