About the Inn
We welcome you to the Main Street Inn, Boutique Hotel. Originally built in 1865, the building and property was completely renovated when purchased by Angelo and Pam Corrado in 2007. During renovations, an addition was seamlessly added to the original structure, allowing for the 8-room property that exists today.
Originally opened as a bed & breakfast in 2008, we soon realized we were slightly different than a typical b&b and changed our name to a boutique hotel shortly after opening. For starters, the owners do not live on the property. Instead, the Inn is staffed by a General Manager, Operations Manager, and several key employees who work tirelessly to make your stay one to remember. This means that you may not always meet the Innkeeper or owners during your stay, but trust us, you will still be in great hands.
Located right in the heart of Kutztown, we are within walking distance of Kutztown University, local boutiques, and delicious dining and only a few minutes drive from wineries, hiking, theme parks, and more. Kutztown is a beautiful and walkable town that will not disappoint.
Our Inn is fully air conditioned and free wi-fi is available throughout the property to allow guests to stay connected 24/7. A separate computer and printer is available for anyone with printing needs. Our private parking lot can be found off of the alley behind the Inn and provides one space for each room when the Inn is at full capacity. Ask us about additional parking and we are happy to assist travelers with more than one car.

In keeping with the original bed & breakfast theme, a full breakfast is included with your stay. Our daily breakfast includes both a continental and made to order menu. Starting at 7am on weekdays and 8:30am on Saturdays and Sundays, breakfast runs until 10am. Guests can choose to eat at any time within breakfast hours and may elect to sit at a private table or share a table with other guests.
We also offer an Innkeeper's Special, which is a seasonal menu item that changes regularly throughout the year. Some past Innkeeper's Specials include Creme Brulee French Toast, Pear Stuff Butternut Squash and Goat Cheese Waffles. Quinoa, Kale & Avocado Breakfast Bowls and more.
In addition to our daily breakfast offering, guests are also welcomed to enjoy homemade snacks around the clock and a glass of local wine or beer in the evening. Please let us know of any food allergies or sensitivities prior to your stay so we can best accommodate your special request.

About Your Stay
When staying at a franchised or chain hotel property, you usually know what to expect before you even walk in the door. However, things can be a little uncertain when staying at an independent property. To help make things more certain, here are some of the things you can expect during your stay at the Inn.
For starters, every guest will get a confirmation email when booking and a reminder email a few days before their stay. This reminder email will have additional information about parking, arrival times, and remind you to inform us of any last minute requests or additional guests in advance of your arrival. Our staff is only on site until 7pm, Monday through Saturday, and 6pm on Sunday, so it is very important to inform us of an early or late arrival prior to your stay.
When you arrive in Kutztown, you will find our private parking lot behind the Inn, off of Sacony Alley. We have one spot available for each room and a parking pass will be provided to you at check-in free of charge. We use keyless entry throughout the Inn, but the front entrance is open while our staff is on site to welcome arriving guests to our Inn.
Upon entry, please proceed to our reception desk. Since we are a smaller property, our staff wear many hats and may not be at the desk at the time of your arrival. However, a sign will welcome you with additional information. We are usually around back towards the kitchen or in the basement tending to laundry. If you are unable to locate us by briefly walking around the first floor of the Inn, please call our number at (610) 683 - 0401. We always have the phone on us to make ourselves available at any time.
You will be asked to provide a photo ID and a credit card when checking in, even if you are not paying for the room, and the balance of your reservation will be due in full at check-in. If you are checking in after our staff leave for the evening, the balance of your reservation will be charged to the credit card we have on file.
After checking in, you will be taken on a brief welcome tour and show you to your room. Late arrival guests will receive the welcome tour in the form of a welcome letter. Each room is equipped with a guest information guide should you find yourself in need of additional information during your stay. Our staff is always available in person or by phone to assist you with any questions or requests you may have as well. We want you to feel as welcome and comfortable as possible while you are staying with us, so please, make yourself at home during your stay. We just ask that you be mindful of noise levels, smoke only outside where permitted, and please don't burn candles, incense, or anything else while inside the property.

Answers to our most frequently asked questions.
What time can I check-in and check-out?
Our front desk staff is available for check-ins from 3pm to 7pm, Monday through Friday, and 3pm to 6pm on Sunday. We are able to accommodate late arrivals, but we ask that you inform us of your late arrival in advance. We also make every attempt to accommodate early arrivals with advance notice.
Will I have to pay for my reservation in advance?
The answer to this is yes...and no. To confirm your reservation, we require a deposit equal to 100% of the first night of your stay plus tax. So, if you are booking online one night, then yes, you will have to pay for your reservation in advance. However, if you are booking more than one night, you will only have to pay for the first night in advance. If you are booking all eight rooms, we consider your reservation a group booking. All group bookings require a non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the reservation.
What type of payment do you accept?
We accept payment by all major credit cards, cash, or Main Street Inn gift certificates. Personal checks are accepted for the deposit as long as it is received and cleared prior to your stay. We do not accept personal checks for balances due at check-in.
What are the rates for your room?
Unlike other bed and breakfasts, our rates will fluctuate depending on supply and demand just as a hotel's would. Typically, our rates range from $115 to $150 during the week and from $140 to $190 on a weekend. Once you make your reservation, your rate is locked in. You can view the current rate by visiting our booking engine and searching for your specific dates.
Do you offer any discounts or special rates?
We currently offer a discount for any active or veteran member of the military. We typically do not offer discounts for booking the entire Inn. If you will be making multiple bookings or stays with us in a specific time frame, please call us to discuss making arrangements for a special rate. If you are coming to town for business, call us to discuss our corporate rate program.
What if I have to cancel my reservation?
We understand that cancellations are sometimes unavoidable, however, once a reservation is made, it prevents another guest from booking that room. We can typically rebook a room as long as your cancellation is made at least 7 days in advance of your arrival. Therefore, if you cancel more than 7 days in advance, we will refund your deposit less a $25 cancellation fee. If you cancel less than 7 days in advance, your deposit is non-refundable, unless we can rebook your reservation to another guest. If we are able to rebook your entire reservation, we will refund your deposit less a $25 cancellation fee.
Does your Inn have air conditioning?
Yes, we have central air throughout the entire Inn, including the guest rooms. You are not able to control the temperature in your room, but fans are provided in all of the rooms for extra air flow.
Do you allow smoking or burning candles?
Smoking and burning of candles is prohibited inside of the Inn. However, you may smoke outside of the Inn in our courtyard or front porch when they are not in use for private events.
Do you allow pets?
No, we do not allow pets of any kind in our Inn, unless mandated by law.
Can you accommodate children?
Children 12 and older are permitted to stay as long as they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. We are not set up to accommodate children under 12 years old. However, if you rent all rooms at the Inn, children of any age may stay during the nights you have the entire Inn booked, but we are not able to offer babysitting services, cribs, high chairs, pack-and-plays or anything else toddler/baby related.
How old must I be to book a room?
You must be 18 years of age or older with a valid photo ID and a credit card to reserve a room.
Do you have an elevator on the property?
No, our entire Inn was renovated to maintain the Victorian architecture of the original building and we therefore made the decision to keep stairs in lieu of an elevator. There are stairs to each of the floors and two rooms are located on the first floor. Our staff is also happy to assist you in carrying your belongings to any of the rooms while we are on site.
Do the owners/innkeeper live on site?
No, none of our staff live on site, however, you are provided with an after hours number to reach our general manager on duty at any time after hours.
Will I have to share a bathroom with other guests?
No, all of our rooms have private bathrooms with a shower, and each of the rooms (with the exception of the Kutz) also have a separate clawfoot soaking tub.
Do you provide in-room amenities like hotels do?
Yes, we provide Paisley & Company shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, and handsoap in the rooms as well as a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, mini-refrigerator with complimentary bottled water, a single serve Keurig w/ coffee and tea, sound machines, fans, heaters, cable television, and complimentary wi-fi throughout the property.
